Ran in the afternoon at Point Mallard. Very nice day out today. Temp about 40 but sunny. I listened to a Science Friday Podcast about how music is stored and processed in the brain, and how it is fundamentally different from other information. It talked about several different types of disorders that people have that regard music, such as brilliant composers who can only remember the last 7 seconds due to brain injury, and can't remember that they know a certain piece of music, but who can play pieces straight through. Other people have music hallucinations, and think they are actually hearing music all the time, or see various colors in response to differient pieces of music. |
