Today I ran a pair of races, a 10k followed by a 2 mile run, with Eric Schotz and Jon Elmore in Moulton AL.  I was second in my age group in both races (after Eric).

Started with a 1.5 mile warm up, followed by a 10k Race at a 6:39 pace

Wow, I can't believe you were able to do 2 really speedy miles like that right after a 10K race. You must be in fabulous shape. Great job!

Hey thanks Lybi! Haynes, I'll look forward to it. Consider the Spirit Run 5 miler in Decatur the weekend before the 4th of July. Eric Schotz (blog "I just felt like running") is the race director and he's doing a really interesting staggered start (like a handicapped start)where the oldest and youngest runners start long before the fastest age groups. First 10 males and first 10 females across the finish line get awards.

Oh, and Lybi, I'm not in that great of shape. I was recently complimented by a finish line tag puller as being "the first chubby guy across the line."
